These can be used as so many things- wallet, checkbook, mini first aid kit, and yes, the Journaling, tracking, drawing, you need to get you there. Can't sleep at night? It's probably because you haven't bought one of these yet, to jot down your thoughts before bed. Any plans you make won't stick, unless they are written down. (According to my brain). There's several different ways to carry this pouch around with you - stuff it inside your pack, clip it to your belt, secure it inside a coat pocket. This is my 6th, maybe 7th piece of LOCHBY gear. Whether taking notes in meetings, making plans for projects, or keeping track of Scout's advancements, the Field Journal is the perfect companion. I keep one planner and one lined notebook in each Field Journal, but you can easily put 3 notebooks in each canvassed holder.

It's extremely well made, the zipper is great, great materials all around.
