Sidekick

This is it!, and I bought extras, and will be getting the different colors also. A7 size Notebook, full size minimal pen, credit and debt card, ID, insurance, dental, prescription card. I have a few stored bills in it, and still closes flat without the bulk. Thanks to Maxlvledc on YouTube for bringing this product to my attention, exactly what I have been looking for, for a long time. Thank you Lochby for making this product.

I've been looking for the perfect wallet/notebook combo for a while now, and after carrying this wallet for about a week, I have to say that I'm pretty impressed. The layout is sophisticated enough to keep cards, cash, etc. organized, without being overly complex; and the retention of the various card pockets is great while still leaving room for plenty of cards. Plus, the fact that it lacks a zipper or other closure means that it stays low-profile and comfortable in a front pocket.

I just wish it were the slightest bit wider.

I have no doubt that it fits an A7 or 2.5"x4" notebook perfectly. However, the availability of notebooks in those sizes pale in comparison to, say, 3"x5" or 3.5"x5". If the Sidekick were a half-inch wider closed, it could easily fit a 3"x5" spiral notebook at almost no cost to size. However, at its current size, you can have a pen in the pen slot, or a 3"x5" notebook in the sleeve; but if you try to fit both, the spine of the notebook presses against the pen and the Sidekick won't close completely flat.

All that being said, I do really like the Sidekick on the whole, and intend on using it for the foreseeable future. If you own or intend to carry an A7 notebook or something like the Moleskine Volant, then I imagine this would be perfect. However, if you prefer a 3"x5" (or, like me, a Rite in the Rain) notebook, it might be worth it to wait and see if they release a "version 2" or slightly larger variant.
